mobile mobile installation

have a look at this. Happy xmas!

Improbable, but true.

One of our zines has made its way into the catalogue of the National Library of Ireland.
(I wish I had done a better job with the guillotine and the margins!)

Congratulations to all the writers and artists,
and apologies for setting a tight deadline and then taking such a long time to put it together.

Really like this Illustrator, reminds me of a little of Shaun Tan,

The ZINE 2 is ready for the streets!

I will be selling it in Dublin Flea Market this Sunday.
Claire also has a heap of them.

...hi everyone❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊❊
❆❆❆❆❆ just to say thanks for all the feedback and stuff , its really felt and makes the madness of this work all the more bearable.I look forward to what we can all do collectively and individually in the new year and good luck with selling the zine :)

Michelle Thompson - Risograph print.

I have just received my prints back from DITTO PRESS!
Kid Hater originally commissioned for the Globe & Mail in Toronto.
Risograph (see the process below) printed on 150gsm Munken Lynx.
A4 with the image measuring 18.4cm wide by 12cm high.
£50 plus £5 for next day delivery or come and collect if you're local.
(Last posting date wednesday.)

A Risograph printer is an exciting piece of duplication technology. We create a thermographic master for each colour in your artwork which is then wrapped around a drum. Ink is forced through the voids in the master. The paper runs flat through the machine while the drum rotates at high speed to print each image on the paper.

Dublin Flea Market

Hi all,

I have a stall at the Dublin Flea Market taking place this Sunday December 20th.
I would love to share it with you all: I will be selling the Zine 2, my own microcomic and whatever else I can think of.
Please join me!

It is not a good place to sell your artwork, because the spirit is cheap and chearful, but it is perfect for second-hand clothes/objects, hand-made postcards, bags, etc.

Work in progress

Have you ever had a piece that you never really finish?, I think I'm almost there. I have changed the composition, I don't know how many times, but I like the technique so I kept plugging away at it every once and a while, I hope to screen print it eventually...

Bah humbug xmas exhibition

Bah Humbug will be open to the public on Sunday the 13th of December from 2pm-7pm in the Back Loft in La Catedral Studios, St. Augustine St., Dublin 8.
The ethos of Bah Humbug is to provide an informal platform for emerging visual artists to sell their work at accessible prices and engage both the public and the artists in an atmospheric Christmas salon of music, tea and food. Featuring on the day is a warm & cosy ephemeral café including tea and cakes kindly donated local cafés. Special guest pianist Alberto Gariglio will be playing live music on the in-house upright old piano throughout the day. Artworks spanning from drawing, illustration, photography, printing, mixed-media, stencil & graffiti art will be on sale. The selected artists encompass an exciting mix of emerging and established artists, many of whom are new to exhibiting in the distinctive Back Loft.

I'll be there pretty much all day, so drop in if you're about :) Note the "music, tea and food" part!

Done in 60 seconds

The idea is, simply, to take any movie of your choice, grab a bunch of friends and remake it in no more than 60 seconds! Two Irish winners will be announced in February, winning a 3 night VIP trip to London & the opportunity to claim top prize at the Jameson Empire Awards on March 28th

Check out www.entertainment.ie/donein60seconds for inspiration, expert advice from 'Slumdog Millionaire' Director Danny Boyle and some hints & tips for preparing an entry. It's worth a visit to check out last year's winning entry alone, a hilarious remix of ‘Jerry Maguire’
The Irish final will take place during JDIFF (18th- 28th Feb).
